English: Journey through the Digestive System

This term, we’ll embark on a fascinating journey through the digestive system. From burps and bottoms to bile, we’ll explore the intricate workings of our bodies. Pupils will dig into exciting topics such as creating a fact file, planning persuasive texts, and immersing themselves in captivating books like “Demon Dentist,” “The Story of the Little Mole Who Knew It Was None of His Business,” and “Your Growling Guts Dynamic Digestive System (Your Brilliant Body).”

Science: The first steps of digestion will be explored, and we’ll answer the age-old question of how smells make their way up our noses. We will engage in lots of hands-on experiments and scientific discoveries!

Art/Music/Design: Get ready for laughter and creativity! Our art and music sessions will feature funny songs, and students will have the chance to model the digestive system. Plus, there’s a special treat with snack packs – a delicious way to connect the learning to real life!

PSHE: We’re focusing on safety first, exploring risks, hazards, and dangers. Road safety and awareness of dangerous substances will be key topics, along with discussions on self-respect and anti-bullying measures.

RE: We explore how people’s beliefs about God, the world, and others impact their lives. This term, we’ll be delving into Jewish and Buddhist perspectives to foster understanding and respect for diverse beliefs.

Educational Visit: Eureka! Get ready for an exciting adventure as we plan our educational visit to Eureka! This hands-on experience will complement our exploration of the digestive system and provide a fantastic opportunity for learning outside the classroom.

We’re looking forward to a term filled with discovery, creativity, and growth. As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Here’s to a fantastic term ahead!
