🦋Well-being session 🦋

This week our pupils had an insightful mental health session. They came together to share, listen and understand each other’s feelings and thoughts. It’s a beautiful reminder that mental health matters, and we are stronger, when we support one another. Together we are building a safe space where every voice is heard and every feeling counts.

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you all had a wonderful break. We’re excited to welcome the pupils back for another engaging and active term of learning. Our topic for this term is “The Tudors”, and we have lots of exciting activities planned across the curriculum to bring this fascinating period of history to life. Here’s what we’ll be learning this term:

🔹 English – We’ll be working on the WJEC Entry Level unit Communicating Experiences. Pupils will create writing and presentations based on our recent residential trip to Bendrigg Hall, helping them express their experiences and understand different points of view.

🔹 Maths – Our focus is on the Working with Measures unit (Entry 2). Pupils will estimate, measure, and compare lengths and weights using real-life and Tudor-themed activities.

🔹 ICT – Pupils will complete the Presentation Software unit by creating a digital presentation about their time at Bendrigg Hall. They will learn how to input, edit, and format content and practise presenting to others.

🔹 Topic/History – Through the theme of the Tudors, we will explore key events, famous figures, and daily life in Tudor times. Pupils will take part in creative projects and sensory activities to help bring the past to life.

We’ll also be continuing with our usual timetable including PE, phonics, and PSHE, with opportunities for personal development and communication skills throughout.

As always, if you have any questions or would like to talk about how we can support your child’s learning, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Best Wishes

The Wentworth Team
