Today, Durham class turned into a mini marketplace as the children learned all about money! 💰🛍️
Abbey opened up her very own shop, filled with tempting treasures for the children to buy using their lesson money. Each child was given 50p (in 5p coins), putting their maths skills to the test as they worked out prices, counted coins and figured out how much money they had left to spend.
Sadly, there was no chocolate or sweets on offer (maybe next time! 😉), but balls and pens were just as popular and flew off the shelves!
The children loved choosing their own items from Abbey’s shop and proudly calculating their remaining change. Lots of smiles, great problem-solving and some brilliant money maths all round! 🌟👏
