We had such a lovely time on our pantomime trip to see ‘Jack and The Beanstalk’!
Today has been the Paces Christmas Jumper Day! We’ve loved showing off our Christmas jumpers and have also been very busy with a winter-themed sensory story and various Christmas craft activities!
In Science, we have been learning about how sound waves travel. We really enjoyed making lots of noise with musical instruments and feeling the vibrations as the sounds were created!
Christmas has arrived here in Chatsworth! We had so much fun decorating our classroom, choosing baubles to put on our wonderfully unique tree and deciding where to hang our decorations!
We had so much fun reading our core text, ‘Little Glow’ that we used it to explore our sentence construction!
Today we walked to a local community centre where there was an amazing Wonderdome! We loved going inside the dome and experiencing all of the lights and sounds.
As part of our Light and Sound topic, we have a new Music and Touch Communication session, where we have been using our communication devices to express our likes and dislikes regarding different light stimuli.
In line with our Light and Sound topic, our RE learning this half term has focused on the Hindu Festival of Light: Diwali. We enjoyed a sensory story, created Rangoli patterns with paint, listened to the sounds of Diwali, and even made diyas out of clay. Happy half term!
We have been reading a fabulous sensory story called ‘Webster Witch’s Wacky Weather’, which explores some elements of light and dark. We are enjoying experiencing different visuals, textures and sounds, and are working on expressing our own responses to each object.
