Balmoral
Goal Ball
Balmoral are loving the new topic Spirit, learning about the Olympics. We have discussed how the Paralympics is accessible for all and tried the sport Goal Ball. Children wore blind folds and used a ball with bells, they used their sense of hearing to defend their goal. It was competitive but great fun!
While the sun is out!
While the sun is out we took the opportunity to take our books to the local park, it was a beautiful day and we felt so relaxed. After our reading we played on the park and had a lot of fun together, the best was the seesaw and the wobbly chairs.
Hesley Wood
We had an amazing day at Hesley Woods: crate stacking, orienteering, playing games and cooking and preparing our lunches. They were the best jacket potatoes ever, so many different fillings and keeping it healthy with plenty of salad. Everyone has asked if we can go again!
Crate Stacking
It was great fun seeing children challenge themselves and conquer their fears. Balmoral became a strong team working together, cheering on our friends and celebrating their successes.
How fashionable are these helmets?
Getting ready for crate stacking, putting on our harnesses and helmets, safety first!
Orienteering at Hesley Woods
We loved orienteering at Hesley Woods. We practiced using our map reading skills finding the check points collecting letters. The sun was shining and we had lots of fun working together.
World Book Day
We had a fantastic world book day! All children and staff had some amazing costumes and love sharing them as a class, as well as seeing everyone else’s around the school. We completed numerous World Book Day activities our favourites being a quiz and a great game of quidditch.
