What a super start to the new school year! We have been introduced to our topic text for this half term: ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ as an exciting sensory story!
We ended the year in style in our individually designed T-shirts at our summer Music Festival! We especially liked watching the live band. See you in September!
We have had loads of fun in our English sessions with our new sensory story: ‘The Three Billy Goats and the Troll’ from the Myths, Legends and Fairytales collection on Inclusive Stories. We have been working hard on our writing skills by retelling key events from the story using objects or symbols.
In Computing, we have been exploring devices such as cameras and iPads. We enjoyed taking our own photos and videos and looking at them on the class screen.
We have loved having Rosie back in school this term to deliver our Music sessions. We made her a card to say ‘Thank You’ for providing us with such a fun learning experience.
We spent two days off-timetable learning all about growing up, as part of our PSHE and RSE curriculum. We enjoyed a sensory hygiene session, practised dressing and bathing using dolls, explored body parts with playdough, and crafted some beautiful friendship-themed art work!
What an amazing Sports Day we’ve had! We have enjoyed parachute games, Boccia, water relay and lots more. And to top it off…Chatsworth were crowned this year’s winners for fantastic engagement!
We’ve had the best day dancing our socks off at our Dance-athon to raise money for Paces. Happy half term!
In History, we experienced life as Queen for a day! We liked dressing up and looking at our royal clothing in the mirrors. Our favourite part was definitely ringing the bell for the servants!
