Hardwick

Eliza has been really engaged in class this week. She has answered questions correctly, such as telling us the colour of subjects, naming animals, telling us the month and day of the week. Well done Eliza 😀

Hardwick have had a fantastic time listening to rock through the ages this week. We had a special playlist to rock to for dough disco, we have found out that the children really love rock music! We will, we will… ROCK YOU 🎤🎶

Ramiyah has been working hard this week on grasping different objects, she has initiated to grasp objects with support to maintain the grasp. Well done Ramiyah 😊

We have kicked off the new year with our new topic ‘What’s that sound?’ Hardwick class have enjoyed listening to the the new class book – The Quiet Book and exploring lots of different environmental quiet sounds. We also enjoyed making quiet sounds with instruments, not sure we were that quiet though 😉.

Eliza has been communicating with staff very well this week. She has said Hello followed by the member of staff’s name without prompt. Well done Eliza 🌝

Seeing Santa in his grotto was very magical, we even got an early present from the big man himself during our school trip this week. We are definitely in the Christmas spirit now! Mama mia! What a fantastic week in Hardwick, we have transported to Italy, another city for our Big City Bright Lights topic. The children have cooked and tasted some amazing traditional Italian feasts. It was Bellissimo. We took the experience to the Next level and fully got into characters while listening to Italian opera. 🇮🇹

Eliza has been really engaged when it has come to standing and walking. She has been taking her weight more consistently over the past few weeks. She does need encouragement in the form of songs but this does highly motivate her. Well done Eliza 😀

We had a special visitor in Hardwick class today. Queen Elizabeth returned for one day only! We celebrated by having a royal tea party in out local cafe. The tea and scones was splendid. 👑

George demonstrated fantastic participation in our class sponsored walk by holding onto a donation bucket for a significant length of time. He giggled away every time anyone put any money in the bucket! Well done George 😀
