Today the children enjoyed making their own leis using natural materials inspired by Hawaiian culture. They explored creativity and nature while learning that leis are a symbol of love, friendship, welcome, and respect in Hawaiian traditions. Balmoral Class made the most beautiful pieces as you can see!
The children have been learning about the meaning and purpose of traditional Hawaiian clothing, enjoying the opportunity to try on different outfits and have fun together. We loved exploring how Hawaiian culture celebrates nature, respect, love, and friendship, and the children really enjoyed sharing this special experience with one another.
Balmoral class had an amazing time on their trips to Hesley Woods! Everyone showed great courage and teamwork while trying exciting activities like abseiling and rifle shooting. A fantastic experience full of adventure, confidence building, and fun memories for all involved!

We have been enjoying our ‘The Secret Garden Path’ Music and Touch Communication session here in Chatsworth! We used drums, wooden spoons, spiky balls, scented flowers and other objects alongside music to explore different textures, sounds and smells, and to express how each experience made us feel.
