Taking full advantage of the sun☀

We have taken full advantage of the few sunny days this week! We have been working on a new mini unit “What Can My Body Do?” As part of this we went on a walk to the duck pond and also had fun playing football and practising our aim with javelin.

Chatsworth Café

This week we created our own classroom café!☕ We had so much fun making, smelling and tasting delicious chocolate cornflake buns. We also enjoyed selling the buns to our friends in our classroom ready for our picnic.

Salad Making!

We have learnt a lot about our bodies growing. So, this week we have been focusing on the growth of food, and have looked specifically at vegetables. We had a great time developing this learning when making a salad – for some of us, the tasting was the best bit!

Nature Walk

We got out into the sunshine today and went on a nature walk around the school grounds. It was interesting to see how much the flowers and plants have grown since we checked on them last!

Growing Up Days

This week we have had two whole-school ‘Growing Up Days’ which have been very exciting! We’ve covered topics such as the changing body, personal hygiene, body parts and social skills. We really enjoyed spending time with other classes in these sessions.

Eureka!

We had a lovely time on our class visit to Eureka! We learnt lots about our bodies and enjoyed experiencing a new environment. Happy half term!

Multicultural Week Continued

What a day we’ve had! We’ve had so much fun going into other classrooms and learning about their countries – we’ve visited Pakistan, Hungary and Greece. We then returned to Egypt to show some of the parents what we’ve been up to this week!
