Multicultural Week – Part 2
We’ve been all around the world today! We have visited France, Mexico and India, before returning to Jamaica. There were many interesting activities to explore (and lots of yummy food too!).

What a fantastic week we’ve had so far! Chatsworth’s focus country this year is Jamaica. We have tasted different foods, listened to reggae music, explored the sensory story ‘Jehvon Goes to Jamaica’, enjoyed a Jamaica-themed Music and Touch session, and even made banana pancakes!
With our new topic sunshine and sunflowers it means Warwick are getting outside more and we are loving it! We went outside during maths to find flowers that matched our colours and tried to find 5 flowers to stick to our sheet! We loved it!
Sunshine and sunflowers is our new topic and Warwick have loved exploring this topic so far! Warwick made our own sunflowers to go on the wall and they look beautiful!
Warwick did some Easter baking! Making chocolate cornflake buns! I’m Warwick we love baking, pouring all the ingredients, measuring and mixing! They turned out delicious!
Warwick went on a Easter hunt outside looking for natural materials such as different coloured flowers, different leaves, sticks and other exciting objects! We had our tick sheet and ticked everything that we found before putting it all on to our Easter egg!
To kick off our multi cultural week Hardwick have learnt an Egyptian dance, dressed as mummies and played tug of war 😁
We certainly enjoyed our trip to Crucial Crew, where we learnt about fire and road safety. We acted out our emergency response by calling 999. We also got to experience how we access public transport which was lots of fun.
We’ve had a great afternoon in our sensory room exploring the lights, singing songs and blowing bubbles!
Balmoral are loving the new topic Spirit, learning about the Olympics. We have discussed how the Paralympics is accessible for all and tried the sport Goal Ball. Children wore blind folds and used a ball with bells, they used their sense of hearing to defend their goal. It was competitive but great fun!
